Wild State is a fast-growing hard cider producer in MN. Based out of Duluth, we create award-winning natural ciders with no added sugar, concentrates, or sorbates. We’re members of 1% For The Planet and give 1% of annual sales to causes supporting and protecting the environment. We’re growing incredibly fast, and need a hard-running Field Sales Manager to grow with us and help build this amazing company together!

You

The Field Sales Manager will be responsible for new account activations, points of distribution, sales velocity growth, relationship building, and brand development. This role will manage accounts within MN, focused on the Duluth and the surrounding areas, developing each area by working directly with sales management, using various technologies to outline brand growth and recap market visits.

What you’ll do

  • Increase both on and off premise sales for Wild State Cider

  • Work directly with the Sales Director on goals, account targets, and go-to-market strategies

  • Develop relationships with new and existing accounts through in person visits

  • Work effectively with distributor managers and reps

  • Manage regional accounts and coordinate with distributors on account development

  • Increase point of sale, general merchandising, building displays, effectively using marketing materials in both on and off premise

  • Conduct promotions and in store tastings at on and off premise accounts

  • Manage a tasting / event schedule and part time brand ambassadors

  • Record sales notes daily and recap effectively to management and distributorsT

  • Track and present sales metrics weekly

  • Contribute to our growth every day

  • Attend and manage festivals and other events

  • Work weekends and evenings as required

Taproom Assistant Manager

Wild State Cider is on the lookout for a Taproom Assistant Manager to oversee daily taproom operations, lead our team of bartenders, run taproom events, and serve as an ambassador to our ciders, brand, and the local craft-made industry. Sound like you?

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Lead and develop our taproom team with guidance from the Taproom Manager.

  • Set a welcoming, appropriate and professional tone for staff communication and dynamics.

  • Be personable, authentic, and fun; build genuine connections with the Wild State Cider team and our guests.

  • Serve ciders in the taproom, as well as ice cream and food pairings.

  • Stay informed and up-to-date on the Taproom, current product offerings, and events. 

  • Train in new staff members on the bartending team, and lead training & development of staff to promote knowledge, efficiency and growth.

  • Assure all staff are continually informed and in compliance with all alcohol, health and sanitation laws and principles.

  • Oversee daily taproom operations and actively promote ideas for operational improvement

  • Respond promptly to management inquiries, assignments and deadlines.

  • Perform weekly inventory & order products as needed.

  • Manage online orders for taproom pickup, shipping & delivery.

  • Perform or schedule regular maintenance of Taproom equipment including weekly ice cream machine cleaning.

  • Perform regular cleaning and upkeep duties in the taproom, while holding others to the same high standards.

  • Ensure the overall appearance of taproom displays and environment are kept at the highest level.

  • Operate and understand core functions of POS system & training users.

  • Delegate tasks to Bartenders as needed.

Who you are:

  • Kind, positive, easy going.

  • At least 2 years of industry related experience preferred.

  • At least 1 year of management or leadership experience highly preferred.

  • Enthusiastic about cider and the craft beverage community as a whole.

  • Able to work predominantly afternoon, evening, and weekend hours with a regular schedule of 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday.

  • At least 21 years old.

  • Willing to help out wherever is needed.

Taproom Bartender

Wild State Cider is on the lookout for easy going, motivated people lovers to join our team as taproom bartenders. Our taproom bartenders represent the first interaction any guest has in our taproom and serve as ambassadors to our brand, quality cider, and the local craft-made industry. Sound like you?

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Be personable, authentic, and fun; build genuine connections with the Wild State Cider team and our guests.

  • Serve ciders in the taproom, as well as ice cream and food pairings.

  • Prepare food items for guests.

  • Serve as an educator to guests with regards to the origins and creation of our products.

  • Effectively use a computerized point of sale system to sell all food, beverages, and merchandise.

  • Perform regular cleaning and upkeep duties in the taproom, delegated to each shift.

  • Embrace duties related to the inherent responsibility of serving alcohol (Examples: Age verification, avoiding over-serving, etc).

You’ve got a crisp sense of design that drives you toward perfection across anything you’ve created, and a desire to grow and be the best in your role.

What you’ll do

  • Create web and social media content and monitor its effectiveness over time

  • Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology

  • Photography - product, people, events, etc.

  • Find content when it elevates the brand or you can’t create it yourself

  • Conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes or supports the company's brand identity

  • Execute on the content calendar - scheduling posts, ads, emails, etc.

  • Monitor key online marketing metrics to track success and ensure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook metrics

  • Stay current on best practices in the industry and review competitor websites and social media accounts to compare their activities

  • Create actionable plans to both grow and maintain followers on social media platforms, email, and on and off page SEO

  • Create unique event marketing materials - posters, advertisements, etc.

  • Improve and maintain company websites

  • Manage all aspects of social media interaction between customers and the company, and ensure a positive customer service experience

  • Interact with followers and potential customers by communicating and answering questions, interacting with their posts, and strategically following accounts


What you’ve got

  • Minimum of 1 year experience successfully growing and managing social media accounts in a professional setting, bonus points if in the CPG industry

  • Proficiency in mobile video production and editing

  • Excellent photography skills including people, landscapes, and products

  • Strong skills in creating a wide variety of original content that targets a specific audience and objective

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a good command of the English language.

  • Superb copywriting and grammar skills and the ability to adapt your writing style to a brand’s unique voice

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Ability to work alongside a diverse group of employees and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once

  • Digital literacy, the ability to be ahead of the trends

  • Strong understanding of Facebook Business Suite paid social campaigns

  • Ability to independently solve unique problems
